Late late late

I hate people.

I have a student and her mother coming in for an appointment that is supposed to be at 5:30. They called and left a message that they were in Canby and on their way, but they were going to be late. I've been sitting here for quite sometime. When they called in, they didnt want to talk to me, they just wanted to leave message. So I never got to speak with them.

When they get here, I have to send them home. BECAUSE I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THEM!!!! If they came on time, everything would be dandy. If they actually talked to me, I could tell them to not bother coming in and reschedule.

You know, for a country that is so clock obsessed, I sure deal with a lot of people who cant be on time for the life of them.

I found a "How to Feel Good" or "How to Be Happy" books at my house yesterday. I was reading through it, basically it says if you think negative thoughts, you'll be depressed/angry/confused/whatever. If you realize you have these bad thoughts, you can change the thought and be happy/non angry/assured/and stuff.

I tried that theory out today while I was at lunch.

The situation:

My car is running low on gas, I see that Costco's gas station has no line (which is almost unheard of!!), I drive up to the gas pump, and roll down my window, waiting for a gas attendant. The gas attendant look at my car, then walks up to a car next to me (which was there first). This was no car, however, it was a full sized Winibego type of motor home trailer campy thing. The gas attendant comments on the size to the owner. Here is where my negative thoughts begin:

"Ooooh, I really hope they dont start a conversation. I'm already late getting back to work. I really need to get back soon. Oh. My. God. Is the gas attendant man taking a tour of the bus? Is he? He's actually going inside? Oh God. This is....I cant... I'm so hot...It's so hot in my car...You know if I were in Washington, I could pump my own gas and be gone by now...What! What is he doing?!?...He's taking a CARD from THE WHAT?!?! I have such a little car! I could be filled up by now! WAIT, positive thoughts! There must be something positve...about anything. Wait a minute, didnt that author of How to Be Happy steal Pollyanna's idea???"

I was not able to come up with any positve thoughts. Especially after I paid $30 for gas. Sometimes, things just plain old suck.

I tried to do this for myspace, but myspace stopped working...

6.) Flip flops or sneakers?Well, lets see...I would normally say flip flops, but I tried walking on a trail yesterday in some....I would have prefered sneakers then. I kept getting splinters.
7.) Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture?Take it. I dont photograph well. Or I hope I dont photograph well, otherwise I'm kinda fugly.
8.) What was the last movie you watched?Erm...Moll Flanders. It was a free on demand movie via Comcast! I love free on demand!!!
9.) Do any of your friends have children?Yes they do. Some of them have grandchildren as well. And then there are others who had better start getting busy....
10.) Has anyone ever called you lazy?They may have. I usually dont listen to people. It makes me tired.
11.) Do you ever take medication to help you fall asleep faster?Only when Kelly tricks me. I sleep very well on my own, typically I dont need help in that area.
12.) What CD is currently in your CD player?Well, I've got a mix I made myself in my car. Aaand, at work I've got Morrisey.
13.) Do you prefer regular or chocolate milk?Uhhh, I like them both.
14.) Have you been told that you're hot by a complete stranger?Probably not. Again, that would require me listening to people....
15.) Have you ever given someone a tattoo?No. And if you know whats good for you, you will never ever ever let me give anyone a tattoo.

17.) Do you think people talk about you behind your back?I didnt think they did, but apparently they DO. And I try REALLY hard to care. And I dont. Oh well.

29.) What is the weather like?Overcast. The clouds are expected to leave later today. I kinda like overcast in the mornings.
