Opossums are like R.O.U.S.s with pouches. They can only hurt you if the attack you. Fortunately they rarely attack anything except garbage cans and other refuse. They are very difficult to kill. I once knew one as a pet. It was very friendly. They will lick you if they like you. They lick a lot.
